To kick off spring, we introduce artist Michael Kaiser and our Art at Argo’s latest exhibition, “Essence”. His luminous work projects the feeling of nature in full bloom, a delightful collection of color and expression.
Artist Statement
“The essence of nature is the driving fo
rce of my art. Painting provokes a spontaneous outpouring of ideas that I articulate into compositions. My exuberant color palette conveys the emotions I feel from water’s vast mysteries and sunlight’s explosion of color”.
About the Artist
Michael paints the emotion he feels when observing nature. Painting in watercolor provokes a spontaneous outpouring of ideas he can articulate into a composition. Techniques such as bleeding, blockout, salt, scrubbing, and lifting of paint help realize this vision.
Michael earned a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1986 and has remained in Columbus for 35 years painting in watercolors, acrylics, and oils. Watercolor has been the primary focus of his work for twenty years. He served as president of the Central Ohio Watercolor Society in 1996. Michael has exhibited his paintings throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

Michael has also created one-of-a-kind sculptures, paintings, and murals for clients such as the Columbus Zoo, Navy SEAL Museum, Red River Museum in Texas, American Express Corp., Disney and the Limited.
