Oakland Nurseries; a family owned business that has been around for almost 80 years, has always been my “go to” plant store with one of the widest selections of plants. On the rare occasion that I’m unable to find what I’m looking for, they’ve always been more than willing to order it. I love the neighborhood feel and the customer service has always exceeded my expectations. I even had a sales associate reach out to me asking how I was enjoying the fountain I purchased. In my experience, this just doesn’t happen at every nursery.
I was aware that Oakland had services such as landscaping experts for commercial and residential spaces but didn’t realize that they have an Interiorscapes division that is dedicated to special events and custom décor. The Oakland Interiorscapes offers a wide selection of plant material for rent as well as many other green elements to make your wedding unique and magical. I can attest to their gorgeous designs, as I recently saw their work at the Garden Party Event at the Columbus Museum of Art.
As I am planning my own destination wedding along the coast of Northern California, I thought this was a great way to pull in an elegant and natural element to the modern space. This particular event had unusual constraints due to its being in the museum. They wanted live plants but couldn’t have dirt brought in. So, they installed an impressive moss wall (perfect for photo ops) and centerpieces made of driftwood, succulents and cut flowers discretely placed in floral water tubes. Oh, how lovely and festive!

Plant rentals give you the beauty and vitality that healthy, vibrant plants bring to your wedding décor, without having to purchase, transport, care for, set up, or take down the decorative plants.
Ornamental plant and moss walls provide a nice unique way to welcome guests to your venue, serve as a beautiful wedding backdrop and excellent background for photo booths. They are constructed on a moveable platform so they can be easily transported. Rental options include installation and delivery. Oakland Interiorscapes can also create custom walls using real or faux flowers, making your event one-of-a-kind.
