My family and I have gone to Argo & Lehne for important jewelry repairs for years. I would recommend these jewelers for heirloom pieces or any jewelry for which a mistake in repair would be inexcusable. Their prices are fair for their expertise.

I was going into Argo & Lehne Jewelers since I could barely look over the counter – my mother took me with her. I made my first purchase when I was twelve years old for a girl a had a crush on. I started going there on my bicycle before I could drive and I have pulled up in an old Corolla wearing a Mr. Bubble tee shirt and have always been treated well. Most recently I went in to have my girlfriends finger sized for a ring. Mr. Argo had the size in a snap and kindly asked if we wanted to look at rings as well. There was no pressure or sales pitch, he was just giving us the great service that I have always gotten there. Later my girlfriend said Mr. Argo was so nice! They know their business there and it is not the most inexpensive jewelry dealer in town, but you can be assured they will give you a fair price, good quality and their work will always be done right.
The place I think of first. Before I became a customer before I could drive a car, my mother took me into Argo & Lehne. I have always been treated well whether I was with her or not. I remember my brother coming home one day when we were kids and he told my sister and I all the things they showed him as possible gifts for my parents 25th anniversary – my brother was sixteen, I was eleven. Most recently I went with my fiancee to pick out a wedding ring – I told her diamonds are always supposed to be purchased with a credit card because the purchase can be disputed. She told me “This is Argo & Lehne, they’re not going to pull any funny business!” I told her: “That’s why I’m going to Argo!” (It’s a beautiful ring by the way.) I knew a fellow who got his fiance a ring from another jeweler and one of the diamonds fell out – in a new ring(!) I told my mother and she frowned and I said “That’s why you go to Argo!” she said “Exactly!” They have been so good to me over the years – mostly replacing watch batteries, etc. I remember one day I took my mother’s wedding rings in for a complementary cleaning and the man behind the counter came back after a few minutes and said one of the stones was loose – they really do a great job there. I took my future mother-in-law’s watch in to have the clasp tightened in December and it just took a minute and when I asked what I owed them, the woman smiled and said “You don’t owe me a thing, Merry Christmas.” My mother-in-law said “You sure they didn’t charge you anything?” I am sure and I am sure I will be their customer for life.
I bought my wife-to-be a beautiful engagement ring from Julie in the summer of 2010. Even though I lived in Colorado, Julie graciously helped me with the ring buying process. My fiancé loved the ring and the store so much we bought her wedding band from Argo & Lehne soon thereafter! Thanks Julie! Argo & Lehne has always been a life saver for me – in many ways. Once I established a rapport with an associate, all I needed to do was make a phone call to Julie and ask her to order the “add-a-pearl” for my granddaughters, a sterling piggy bank with name engraved, or spend time with me as we plow through many catalogs seeking a pair of simple clip on gold earrings – and we sure found the pair!!! The patience exercised by Julie and others is a treat. Just to stop in and say “hi” – and smiles are always welcome.
I knew from the beginning that I wanted to design a very special engagement ring from scratch. I visited several of the chain jewelry stores around town, and every one of them told me that creating a custom piece would be prohibitively expensive, and instead tried to sell me on whatever happened to be in their cases. After nearly giving up, I found Argo and Lehne. Bob Argo understood exactly what I was looking for and assured me that we could execute my vision within my budget. I worked closely with Bob and his veteran craftsman for weeks, going through numerous revisions of hand drawings, computer models, and even a wax model of the setting. In the end, I had the perfect engagement ring. I can assure you that you won’t find a jeweler who is more experienced, reasonably priced, and pleasant to work with in the Columbus area.
